Risk Management & Decision-making tool for Financial Institutions


Institution of Surveyors of Kenya (ISK) held a meeting with Housing Finance (HF), Credit Department to discuss areas of mutual interest, specifically on the use of Valuation as a Risk Management and Decision-making tool for Financial Institutions. The areas discussed include adherence of Valuation Standards, Listing Panels of Valuers, Dealing with Integrity and Forgery of Valuation Reports and handling professional misconduct among others.

The two Institutions agreed to develop a memorandum of understanding that would streamline their working relationship.

The meeting was attended by Housing Finance Corporate Credit Manager; Benson Washika, Head of Valuations; Harron Musumba and Head of Collections and Customer Debt Manager; Janeth Rotich. ISK was represented by President Abraham Samoei, C.E.O; Rose Mwaura, VEMS Chapter Chairman; Bernard Gachoka and Gikonyo Gitonga.
