28 ISK Visit Rwanda and Pay courtesy Calls to Several Government Bodies

ISK members been briefed about investments opportunities at the Specific Economic Zones

In the spirit of learning across the regions and internationally, ISK has been successfully implementing annual trips to various countries. The objective of the trips is mainly to expose its landed professionals to new trends and way of doing things. Just a few days ago, 28 members from all the ISK Chapters visited Rwanda for 4 days.

The members visited the Rwanda Development Board (RDB) which registers mortgages working together with the banks and Institute of Real Property Valuers in Rwanda (IRPV). The RDB team welcoming ISK members to Rwanda confirmed that more than 150 mortgages of either movables or properties are processed per day. The online and digital system in the government bodies   ensures and promotes quick and transparent transactions.

Rwanda development Board team updates ISK members on the mortgage registration process that takes only 6 hours!

The members also visited the Ministry of Lands & Forestry (MINILAF) and the Rwanda Land Management & Use Authority (RLMUA) where they learnt more about Surveying & land Mapping in Rwanda and the digitalization of records in the country.

ISK members listen to a presentation during a cocktail hosted by Institute of Real Property valuers ,Rwanda.

The members were hosted briefly by the IRPV during their Annual General Meeting held on 11th July 2018.Later the board members hosted the members for a cocktail at the Hotel Des Mille Collines where issues of interest to both institutions where discussed in length.ISK and IRPV signed a memorandum of understanding last year in November 2017 on areas of partnership. We thank all the members who participated in the Regional tour and encourage more members to engage in future trips.
