Western Branch
History of the ISK Western Branch
The Western Branch was formally approved by the ISK National Council in 2013 as part of the Institution’s strategy to decentralize its operations and expand outreach. It opened its regional office in Kisumu in 2016 under the national chairmanship of Mr. Stephen Odongo Ambani, who presided over the inaugural opening ceremony and the first regional dinner. This marked the beginning of structured branch activities, including regular meetings, capacity‑building events, and professional forums.
The ISK Western Branch is a regional arm of the national Institution, delivering professional surveying services, advocacy, and networking to practitioners in Western Kenya. It serves members across 10 counties: Kisumu, Kakamega, Bungoma, Busia, Vihiga, Siaya, Homa Bay, Migori, Kisii, and Nyamira. The Branch bridges the national secretariat with local surveyors, government agencies, and land-related stakeholders.
