ISK Council pays a courtesy call to the Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya, H.E. Dr. William Ruto, EGH, EBS


ISK Council today, Tuesday 21 May 2019, paid courtesy call to the Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya, H.E. Dr. William Samoei Ruto.

The meeting largely discussed how ISK members can support Government agenda and also promote sustainable land management. The following areas were discussed in details; involvement of ISK members to inform and influence policies especially on environmental impact assessment, land valuation and compensation to avoid delay in implementing Government priority projects which are valuable and impact people’s lives.

Further ISK sought support from the Deputy President to support reforms in the sector and particularly fast tract review and enactment of various legislation in the sector including the Survey Act, Cap 299, Valuers Act, Cap 532, Estate Agents Act Cap 533 and Land Administration Managers bill.

ISK was represented by Mr. Abraham Samoei, ISK Chairman, Ms. Rose Mwaura, ISK, Chief Executive Officer, Council Members Mr. Isaiah Bonyo Oyuga, Mr. Bernard Gachoka, Mr. Peter Adipo, Mr. Evans Kipkoech and Mr. Robert Koech, ISK Policy Research and Advocacy Officer.
