ISK Celebrates World Environment Day celebrations 5th June 2018.

The event was held at the Kikuyu Springs in Kiambu County early today, the Chair of the Public Relations committee Erastus Chege assured the public and the Government of its support in, among others, environmental initiatives in the Nairobi Rehabilitation Project and the greening programme.

Mr Chege further emphasized on the need to preserve public land including road reserves, forest reserves, and the public to engage in sustainable land use practices. He urged the County to focus on management of solid waste as a way of ensuring sustainable land management.

The County Government of Nairobi informed ISK and all other stakeholders in attendance that it will launch County cleanups on every Saturday of the month beginning July 7th 2018. We encourage you to participate in the same to help eradicate plastic in our environment and conserve environment.

The theme of this year’s was” Beat plastic pollution”.
