ISK Chairman Mr. Stephen Ambani on 18th October 2017 gave a go ahead to the ISK training Institute and committee to steer ISK to establish a training institute within 6 months. This is in line with the ISK 2014-2017 strategic plan where equipping practitioners with knowledge is emphasized. The committee members are Dr. Hussein Farah (Chairman), Jasper Mwenda, Morris Omollo, Dr. Raphael Kieti, Eunice Macharia & Eric Nyadimo.
The committee was given the responsibilities to advise on the legal requirement for registering a training institute, develop a budget and work plan for the institute, propose trainers and governance model to be adopted by the training institute, Consolidate existing materials and decide if collaboration or an independent institute should be set up.
Once established the training Institute will seek to address some rampant issues of quacks practicing as real estate agents or surveyors. It will offer short term courses covering the land and property sector.
