ISK Holds Press Conference On Using Land As A Political Campaigns Agenda And Gazettment on Land Leases


The ISK Chair Stephen Ambani noted that parts of this country and especially the pastoral communities in Isiolo and sections of Baringo are currently bearing the consequences of land related conflicts, which have been in one way or another linked to the political class and the upcoming elections.More on press statement on this link

On the Land Leases the institution applauded the Cabinet for lifting, renewing and the extension of leases. The gazettment of the guidelines is a welcome move that would jumpstart economic lull in the land sector, Said Mr Ambani. The Ministry is awaiting the necessary regulations to effect the new land laws, these will inform the process of granting new leases.More press statement on this link
