ISK holds Forum on Land Law Amendment Bill 2015


In attendance were representatives from the Ministry of Land Housing and Urban Development (MLHUD) and the National Land Commission (NLC). The forum sought to facilitate thediscussion on the proposed amendments to the land laws.

ISK presented an objective analysis of the proposed amendments in the context of the general practice, land reforms, the Constitution and the National Land Policy. The MLHUD gave justifications for the proposed amendments while NLC brought out the concerns they have with the proposed changes to the laws.

ISK shall develop a position on the proposed amendments through which it shall engage with the National Assembly.
