ISK Chair Represents ISK During the Fig Working Week In Sofia, Bulgaria
ISK Chairman ,Paul Wambua casts a vote during the voting for hosting the Fig Working week in 2020.
Mr. Wambua shared progress on ISK initiatives on taking leadership of the East African Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA) and its impact on operationalizing the surveying practice in the region. Speaking with the officials of the Global Land Tool Network (GLTN), he proposed the linking of the two organizations in conducting local studies.
“ISK is growing the young surveyors networks locally and in collaboration with the FIG young surveyors”, Wambua noted.
The Chairman also lobbied for ISK to host other FIG events leading to the success of the institution to host the Africa Task Force Conference in October/November 2015 in Nairobi. It will be themed the “Youth and Diversity for an Equitable Economy”
Although the Bid to host Fig 2019 Working Week went to Hanoi, Vietnam, Mr.Wambua promised that ISK will work better and put extra efforts in bidding for 2020. He was optimistic that this will happen so as to open up enormous opportunities for all surveyors and the business community in the Country. The approach will be premised on a wider multi-sectoral collaboration.
