ISK Council visits Nakuru Branch and Holds Seminar for Members

In a bid to reach to members and expand ISK visibility in the counties,ISK officials and Secretariat toured three regions Nakuru,Eldoret and Kisumu holding seminars for the ISK members.

The team led by the ISK Chairman Paul Wambua,VEMS chapter Chair Stephen Omengo,Professional and Ethics Chair Dr.Sammy Musyoka,GS Secretary Stephen Ambani,ISK CEO Moses Kiambuthi,LAM representative Ronald Matende,ISK policy research and Advocacy officer Robert Koech and ISK Pr and Communication Officer Elizabeth Mulae visited ISK Nakuru branch,ISK Eldoret branch and ISK Kisumu branch.

During the Nakuru Branch visit ISK council team met the Nakuru ISK  elected team,which was lead by the branch Chair Joseph Inoti.Several issues affecting members in the region  where highlighted.The emerging issues included advocating for the lifting of the ban on subdivision of land in the county and the harrassment of ISK members by the county officers with regard to the payment of single business permit.It was noted that ISK members are professional consultants just like the doctors and lawyers who are exempted from the single permit which should also be applied to ISK members.

A seminar  was held in the afternoon for the members.Two topics of relevance to the land and property industry were presented to the members to ensure members remain knowledgable in the emerging trends in the industry.The  topics focused on  real Estate Investment trusts (REITs)  presented by the VEMS chapter Chair Stephen Omengo and Geo referencing in line with Land Registration Act 2012 presented by Dr. Sammy Musyoka,the Professional  and Ethics.

A cocktail for members and potential members was held in the evening which acted as informal forum for sharing ideas and networking.
